Traffic tied up for at least a mile on Highway 89A

Sgt. Brandon Bonney of the Prescott Valley Police Department reported that a minor accident involving a pickup, a sport-utility vehicle and a passenger car caused a major traffic back up Monday evening.  Amongst the backup of vehicles, another accident occurred where a motorcycle driver struck a stopped vehicle.  The motorcyclist pulled into a nearby parking lot, and was later taken to the hospital by his wife.  Police are continuing their investigation into why the accident occurred and caused such a traffic jam.
