Three people killed in highway accident

Everyone inside a 1994 Honda Accord, traveling west on US-178, was killed when a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck, traveling east on the same road collided with it.  The accident occurred around 4:20 pm last Tuesday in Orangeburg County, SC.  Investigators of the crash have determined that the driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other two passengers were transported to nearby hospitals, where they were pronounced dead from their injuries.  No information is available on the condition of the driver of the Chevy, 26 year old Martha Metler, but the passenger, 33 year old Burnell Jones was not seriously injured.
