One person dead, and another injured in broadside collision

Although Tamara Curtis was flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, she died after being broadsided by a pick-up truck driven by Corey Hackett at the Y-shaped intersection of U.S. Highway 6 and 300^th Street.  Mr. Hackett was treated for his injuries at the scene of the crash.  The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Department says that Ms. Curtis was hit by the pick-up truck when pulling into traffic from a stop sign when heading north on 300^th street.  The accident remains under investigation.
