Mother Accused of Killing Twins

According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Monica McCarrick was arrested on suspicion of stabbing both her twin 3-year-old daughters to death before attempting to take her own life and setting her apartment on fire. After killing her daughters, witnesses found her inside her apartment on fire with self-inflicted stab wounds. Neighbors trying to get into the burning apartment say all windows and doors were locked. She was taken to the hospital, where she is listed in stable but critical condition.
