Head on collision sends two to hospital

A dispatcher with Washington County emergency services said Friday that two people were sent to  Washington County Hospital following a two car head on collision, around 7:30 Thursday evening.  Because they were close to the scene, Hagerstown Police responded to the accident although it was past the city line.  One person was trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle.  The officers who investigated the accident would be on duty after 5pm, and more information will be available at that time.
