The bullets miraculously went through and through in their arm area, and he continued to shoot at three boys but the bullets hit a post nearby. His next shot at a teacher did not go off because one of the casings was stuck in the revolver.

Last May, Candelario Ixba was arrested after allegedly wrecking a Dodge Durango parked next to a house on Helen Avenue and leaving the scene. Apparently, a fire began in the passenger compartment of the vehicle and also damaged the house. Originally, Ixba was charged with class-B felony arson, but that was later reduced to criminal mischief. This past Monday, Ixba was released from the Vigo County jail after pleading guilty to criminal mischief and driving while intoxicated. His sentence was 366 days in jail, and a one-year sentence to be served simultaneously. Because he had already served 183 days, Judge Michael Eldred credited Ixba with time served.

Nineteen year old Lucas Rosas wanted to be in the Marine Corps so badly that he decided to practice his marksmanship by busting out car windows with his BB gun this summer. He was accepted for basic training, and while he was going through it, the police got a warrant for his arrest. They found that he was flying into the San Antonio International Airport on leave last Saturday, and they immediately arrested him with charges of felony criminal mischief. Rosas was one of three teens accused of an estimated $50,000 in damage from a vandalism spree last June.

Braden Schroeder, 9, was walking down the street with his grandfather Saturday afternoon in the Monte Vista Mobile Home Park in Roy, Utah, when he was hit with multiple pellets from the 12-gauge shotgun of David Dunlap, 28. According to the Roy Police Chief, Greg Whinham, the police department believes the discharge of the weapon was negligent, and there was evidence that David Dunlap was impaired by alcohol at the time of the incident. Investigators report that Dunlap told them he was cleaning his shotgun inside a mobile home at the time of the shooting. He claimed it was his practice to reload and then dry fire the weapon. This Saturday, the gun was pointing at a nearby window at the time of the “dry fire.” Whinham explains that reloaded a weapon and then dry firing is not standard practice, and they believe alcohol impairment contributed to the action. Schroeder was struck with multiple pellets, stretching from his neck to his legs. He was flown to Primary Children’s Medical Center, and Monday was listed in critical but stable condition.

Police met with the Weber County prosecutors Monday to discuss the possibility of criminal charges against Dunlap, but there has been no arrest and no charges brought forward at this time.

According to authorities, Kyle Ramirez escaped from a couple’s home in Tracy, California last December by unlocking an ankle train. He then found his way half-naked and stumbling, emaciated and bruised into a health club. Michael Schumacher, Kelly Lau, married, and Caren Ramirez, and Anthony Waiters, were indicted by a grand jury in March on aggravated mayhem, torture, and false imprisonment of the 16 year old boy. It is unknown whether Caren Ramirez is of any relation to Kyle Ramirez. To date, a San Joaquin County judge has refused to throw out the criminal charges against the four, although their attorneys argued that prosecutors did not prove the torture charge.
