Death of woman in traffic fatality ruled a homicide

Paul Lauritson  of Hudson, was driving Stephanie Dripps, of Dysart, on October 8 of this year.  They were involved in a collision resulting in both of their deaths.  The Benton County medical examiner’s office has now ruled that Ms. Dripps’ death was a homicide. Beet Truck driver charged with killed 18-yr old.

Police in Wahpeton, North Dakota say that 52-year old Cathleen Dean ran a red light in her beet truck and killed an 18-yr old girl.  Ms. Dean has a criminal history, and is now facing years in jail and a fine following this latest incident.  Antoinette Gjesdal was the third car to go through the light, according to witnesses, before Ms. Dean ran the red light and hit her car, killing her.  Ms. Dean says she...

Man trapped and killed by bulldozer

According to Ossian, Iowa authorities, Patrick O’Shaughnessy was working on a bulldozer when it apparently slipped off the jacks and pinned him.  Although his co-workers used a crane to lift the bulldozer, O’Shaughnessy was pronounced dead at the scene.  O’Shaughnessy had been working on a small bulldozer at Reilly construction in northeast Iowa.
