Late Sunday night in Detroit, a red Dodge Charger, traveling at a high rate of speed, hit a Pontiac G6, killing both the female driver and male passenger. It is unknown whether the Pontiac was also speeding. It appears the cars may have been racing. According to the medical examiner’s office in Skokie, Illinois, Joseph Patyk was involved in an accident where his clothing became twisted around his neck when working with a machine on the 750 block of North Merrill Street in Park Ridge. Two years ago, pop princess Britney Spears ran over the foot of Ricardo Mendoza, an employee of TMZ at the time. Mendoza accused the star of assault, battery and negligently driving her car at the time of the incident. Court records show that Spears and the photographer have settled the lawsuit. The terms of the agreement filed are not being disclosed at this time.

Alva Luce, 62, of Brunswick, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident where his Chevy van collided into a tree. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident that occurred Tuesday night near Woodward Point Road. For unknown reasons at this time, Luce’s Chevy van went off the road and hit a tree. The State Medical Examiner is still investigating his actual cause of death.

Jordan Smith, 18, was driving a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon west on 272nd Avenue around 2:40 am Tuesday morning.
